If you have long wanted to try out induction cooking but have held off because of the cost, now is as good a time as any to take the plunge.
Check out our rundown of the best induction cookware on the market, and find out what you’ve been missing!
Induction cooking is one of the hottest (no pun intended!) trends in the home kitchen front. It’s able to cook foods faster, safer, and more efficiently than many other cooking methods, so induction cooking has given rise to a slew of cookware designed specifically for induction stovetops.
Moving forward…
For those in the market for induction cookware, there is an absolute wealth of options available, as you will see below…
From fairly simple pieces that cost under a hundred dollars to fully-featured, advanced-technology marvels that cost many times more, the range of non-stick induction cookware is pretty diverse.
How to Buy Induction Cookware
Of course, you need to know what to look for when shopping for induction-ready cookware, with the most important criteria being…
… the material.
Induction cooking essentially relies on the magnetic reaction between the heating element of the induction stove and your cookware (read more at Wikipedia).
This means that induction cooking will only work on magnetic cookware, which are typically made of materials such as stainless or carbon steel or cast iron.
Most other materials probably will not work, although certain types of aluminum and copper pots and pans can be used as well.
Sizes
Apart from material, you will also have to consider the sizes of your pots and pans.
Most induction stovetop manufacturers recommend that you use cookware with base diameters larger than the burners’. This ensures optimal heat transfer and efficient cooking and heating.
Variety
You might also want to consider other factors in your search for non-stick induction cookware. A good variety of different pots and pans is good to have in a set, as you will probably want to use your induction stove as much as possible.
Can you use it on a regular stovetop?
It is also a good idea to shop for cookware that can be used with traditional heat sources as well.
As amazing as induction cooking is, you will still have to rely on other cooking methods for certain dishes.
Cookware that can be used on electric or gas stoves and convection ovens provide more bang-for-the-buck, and will get a lot more use than cookware intended solely for induction cooking.

Best Induction Cookware

Our top pick for the best overall non-stick induction cookware set is the Duxtop SSIB-17 Professional.
The Duxtop is a 17-piece set that promises brings together the latest in cookware technology, it is a product of modern design and construction, with innovative features that make cooking fast and efficient.
At the core of every pot and pan is 18/10-grade stainless steel that gives each piece unparalleled strength and durability. But that is only part of what makes the individual components of the set such excellent pieces of cookware.
The stainless steel bodies are impact-bonded with heavy-gauge aluminum bottom sections. This combination results in utmost stability and durability, ensuring the pots and pans’ ability to withstand years and years of rugged use.
Furthermore, the encapsulated aluminum bottom section optimizes heat distribution. Induction cooking isn’t exactly known for its heating power, but the design of the Duxtop SSIB-17 Professional set might just change that perception. Used with a capable induction stovetop, you could reasonably expect performance comparable to conventional stoves and cookware.
Like all quality pieces of induction-ready cookware, the pots and pans in the Duxtop set can be used with a variety of other heat sources as well. According to the manufacturer, you could use these with gas and electric stoves, infrared cookers, and even Radiant glass and ceramic cooktops. This degree of versatility is something that you rarely see in the induction cookware market, and is one of the reasons why the Duxtop SSIB-17 Professional is the clear and easy winner of the top spot in this roundup.

As for best budget non-stick induction cookware, the prize goes to Magma Products A10-360L-IND. A 10-piece set that combines a stackable design with proven reliability and cooking efficiency, it also comes with a reasonable price tag.
The Magma Products A10-360L-IND set isn’t actually the lowest-priced non-stick induction cookware set on the market, nor is it the cheapest in this roundup. In fact, its price places it just beyond the upper limit of the budget range, as per our definition of the phrase. Nevertheless, its unique space-saving design and undeniable performance merits not only inclusion in this lineup, but also the top spot in our budget selection.
The individual pieces of the set–the three saucepans, the stockpot, and the dual-function sauté/frying pan–are designed to stack neatly on top of each other. With the largest stockpot on the bottom, the smaller pieces fit snugly atop each other. This greatly reduces the amount of cabinet space that the entire set takes up. Given this ingenious design, we weren’t all that surprised to find out that the set was developed specifically for use in RVs and boats, where space is often in short supply.
Design innovation aside, what really earned the A10-360L-IND the top spot in the budget category is its excellent performance capabilities. This set is every bit as capable as the finest non-stick induction cookware you can find on the market, and will be equally useful in more spacious settings. As with the Duxtop SSIB-17 Professional, 18/10 grade stainless steel is combined with encapsulated aluminum bottom plates, making this budget option worthy of serious consideration.

The T-fal E938SA set can be used on any stovetop, including induction models. They are also oven-safe, and can withstand temperatures of up to 400° F.
What others are saying
Contrary to the manufacturer’s claims, the E938SA set doesn’t seem to withstand the use of metal utensils all that well, as noted by many users. Quite a few have reported chipping and scratching, with some even experiencing considerable peeling off of the non-stick layer. This is obviously a cause for concern, and it has caused many users to swear off the line entirely.
That being said, many users seem quite satisfied with their purchase, citing the effectiveness and even heating of the non-stick cooking surface. For many, the E938SA set provides more than acceptable value and functionality for the price.

Design, Specs, and Usability
The Vremi 8-piece set actually consists only of five pots and pans, with the manufacturer apparently counting the three included lids towards the total. We’re not quite sure of the reason for this, as the lids can’t be used for any other purpose as far as we could tell.

They work marvelously well with induction stoves, provided the diameter of the burners don’t exceed the diameters of the pans. Viking 40051-9910 Hard Anodized Nonstick Cookware Set
The Viking 40051-9910 10-piece cookware set very nearly didn’t make the cut due to the scarcity of user reviews available.
